UN Global Compact COP Project launched

This week the project of the UN Global Compact that I have been working on for a few months got launched! The project's aim is to get a fully searchable and easily accessible database of over 2000 Communication on Progress (COP) reports.

A COP is an annual publication in which the company communicates what it has done to implement the 10 Global Compact principles. All companies have to do this to ensure the integrity of the initiative (to avoid 'freeriders').

The project has been a great learning experience because I had the opportunity to work with Global Compact colleagues and to lead a team of Wharton MBA-students helping us to roll out this project. Furthermore, it was the first time that I set-up a Wiki, a platform for online collaboration. Now to make this project a success, all we need are hundreds of more students to review all COPs and tag them by answering a set of questions.
