Toronto and Niagra Falls

For Xmas I went to Toronto, Canada, where Mike (the young gentleman in the middle) invited me to his family's house. Mike and I know each other from volunteering in Peru for Finca and he just returned from there, so it was a great opportunity to catch up, celebrate with his nice friends and to explore the powerful Niagra falls.

The Smith family was super lovely and welcomed me as an additional son. Brian, Mike's father, cooked traditional Turkey and I made Bavarian Schnitzel once. The peacefulness and nature was a big retreat for me from busybusy Manhattan. I was a bit sad not to be able to fly home to my family in Germany but thanks to the lovely Smith family it was a family Xmas. And my parents and brother are going to visit me in New York over my birthday in February.

Anyway, now it's NYE here in New York, so Happy New Year 2007!
